SFArtsED Summer 2014: Exploration Art Exhibit (11)
Some of the lively, colorful artwork created by students in the Exploration camp (students ages 6 to 9) was featured in an exhibition at MAC (Modern Appealing Clothing) in the Dogpatch neighborhood. Student artists and their families were the special guests at an opening-night reception, and the show ran for three weeks. -
SFArtsED Summer 2013: On the Town (71)
For the final session of Broadway Bound, campers 9-14 joined with alumni of SFArtsED programs to rehearse the classic Leonard Bernstein/Betty Comden & Adolph Green musical "On the Town." The alumni served as mentors and co-teachers and also took on some of the lead roles. The intense three-week rehearsal culminated in a performance with the 50-piece Berkeley Summer Symphony at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Performance photos by Yuan Zhu -
Joe Goode Performance Group: Inspired Bodies (2013) (12)
The renowned Joe Goode Performance Group returned to SFArtsED Summer for a second year with a week-long workshop called "Inspired Bodies." The students, ages 8 to 12, worked with members of the JGPG company to create their own unique movement vocabulary and incorporated voice, song and word play into their final movement-based piece. -
SFArtsEd Summer 2013: The Visual Artist (82)
Students 9 to 14 spent two weeks exploring the visual arts -- sculpting, drawing, fashion design, painting, cartooning, figure portraiture and more. The work was exhibited at the end of the session, then the best of the bunch was shown for the month of July in a special exhibition at MAC (Modern Appealing Clothing). -
SFArtsED Summer 2013: Broadway Bound (116)
Campers 9 to 14 learn to be triple-threat actors-singers-dancers. The first session is devoted to classic Broadway shows and the second session to contemporary Broadway. -
SFArtsED Summer 2013: Exploration (53)
Summer 2013 at Miraloma Elementary School. Exploration campers, ages 6 to 9, did a little bit of everything -- singing, painting, dancing, sculpting, acting, drawing, weaving, playing. -
SFArtsED Summer 2012: The Visual Artist (44)
This year's Visual Artist session was part of the "INTERNATIONAL ORANGE: The Bridge Re-imagined" exhibit. Work from our summer artists was curated by Richard Olsen and shown at MAC (Modern Appealing Clothing) as the final "bridge gallery' of the exhibition. -
SFArtsED Summer 2012: Broadway Bound (33)
For young performers ages 9 to 14, Broadway Bound camp sessions are packed with training and rehearsal to become a triple threat: singer, dancer, actor. Each Broadway Bound session concludes with a showcase performance of musical numbers, acting scenes and dance numbers. -

SFArtsED Summer 2012: Exploration Session 1 Campers ages 6 to 9 do a little bit of everything in Exploration -- they sing, they dance, they drum, they draw, they sculpt, they paint. It's a true exploration of the arts! -
Billy Elliot Master Class (33)
The five young men who share the role of Billy in the national tour of "Billy Elliot" visited the Broadway Bound campers and conducted a Master Class. -
